Zine Making Community...
I have been an artist my entire life, but I only discovered zines as an artistic medium this year (2024). Zines have completely changed my life and my art. Zines have taught me that it's okay to be messy because LIFE is messy and that's REAL. Zine makers have shown me a community so filled with kindness, and the best "hype guys," you could ask for!
Take Ryan for example! Pocket Thoughts is on it's 31st ISSUE!?!?! That is some crazy admirable! and it's also my absolute favorite number in the world, so it was very serendipitous that I was invited to the Spotlight for this one! I've linked his shop below in case you'd like to get your hands on your own copy of this issue!
It's coming up on the two year mark of quitting my soul-sucking corporate job to chase a life I actually want. I'm taking it as yet another sign that I am exactly where I am meant to be. I am an Artist.
